Preparation for the Introduction Meeting
If it sounds like our areas of expertise are a fit with your project, we will set up a time for an introductory meeting at our offices. We love getting to know new clients, and hearing what is on their wish list. If you have any sketches, measurements, or pictures that can help define what you want to accomplish in this renovation, please bring them along to our meeting! Try to list priority “must haves,” and “potential extras” for when the budget can accommodate.
At this point, we provide a rough idea on what figures may look like, in terms of scope, timeline and budget. When the project details have been discussed and begin lining up, we can plan to meet you again, this time at the site of your expected project.
Project Site Visit
We will meet you on site to view the premises personally, to get a good sense of the environment. We are usually accompanied by our trusted Project Planner, who will eventually take you through the Design and Planning process. We will tour the site, and obtain a feel for the atmosphere. We will also be able to make important observations and take any necessary measurements. This visit is the key in being able to realize all the logistics of Design and Planning, and is extremely valuable in helping us paint an accurate picture of the entirety of the job. By personally visiting the space and perusing the property, we provide you with more detailed advice and insight. We take in the details needed for the next steps, then take our time to thoroughly answer any of your questions.
The Planning Phase
After meeting with you and viewing the renovation area, our experienced Project Planner provides their services to take you through the Planning process. Depending on your project’s needs, the Planner may build a comprehensive Design Package, complete with 3D renderings, elevation drawings, a detailed floor plan, and a materials list. During this phase, the Planner also helps you work through the budgeting of your project. Estimates and quotes from trades and suppliers will be provided, and the budget becomes clearer once the sourcing and selecting of materials is complete; planning and forecasting are essential for efficiency in the renovation process. The Planner is both your consultant and your representative, working with you, and all involved parties on your behalf. You will then have everything needed for final pricing and execution.
Contracts Protect Both Parties
We believe in protecting our clients and ourselves at each and every job site. Accent Renovations ensures that once all of the details have been agreed upon, a formal contract is drawn up and signed. This will ensure everyone is on the same page for pricing, scheduling, and completion dates. Deposits are paid, contracts are signed, and your job is officially “booked”. A reputable contracting company always provides the details in writing.
